Connecting the Unconnected – Rethinking Regional Air Mobility

Based in Stuttgart, flyvbird is building an on-demand flight platform that enables fast, direct, and flexible connections between regions traditionally underserved by airlines.

The Model:

  • Single-seat bookings instead of full charter – aircraft are scheduled once demand is bundled.

  • Asset-light & scalable – flyvbird does not operate its own fleet but partners with certified AOC operators (Charter/ACMI/SLA).

  • AI-driven scheduling (flyvAI) – demand and capacity are matched in real time, routes are dynamically optimized.

  • Sustainability first – launching with modern turboprop aircraft such as the Cessna Caravan, transitioning to hybrid-electric and eSTOL aircraft (e.g., Electra.aero) from 2028 onwards.

Current Milestones:

  • Over 30,000 flight requests, including 18,000+ in Germany.

  • Pilot operations starting September 2025 with flights between Friedrichshafen–Mönchengladbach and additional test days in Mannheim, Straubing, Kassel, and Hof.

  • €4M+ in government and EU research grants for technology and sustainability development.

  • Initial investment of €500,000 secured from Merse SA (Switzerland).

  • Strategic partnerships with OEMs (Electra.aero, Tecnam) and regional airports across Germany.

Vision 2030:

  • Operating 700+ aircraft across Europe, connecting more than 100 cities through a decentralized, demand-driven network.

  • Becoming the “Uber of Aviation” – simple, flexible, and sustainable air travel for business and leisure.
